Student Awards

Duggan School has a monthly assembly during which leadership excellence in a variety of areas, and dedication to our Home Reading Program is recognized.

S‌tudents who show RRSP (Respect, Responsibility, Safety and Pride) are acknowledged by receiving an RRSP slip. Any teacher or administrator who sees a display of RRSP can give these RRSP slips out as well.

Mrs. Stainer started a Home Reading Program here at Duggan about 8 years ago. Every year, at the beginning of the year, every student that starts reading at home, receives a small reading prize! After 25 more nights of reading at home, students are able to choose another prize! There's prizes for every additional 25 nights of reading after that. The prizes get better and better with every reading milestone achieved! Once students reach 100 nights of reading, they are gifted with a reading medal! If they reach 200 nights of reading, they receive a special medal with their name engraved on the back of it! The medals are presented to them in the monthly school assembly!
